Cherimoya

Cherimoya

Category:

Cherimoya, often called the “custard apple,” is a tropical fruit known for its creamy texture and sweet, fragrant flavor. It has a heart-shaped or oval form with green, scaly skin that feels slightly bumpy or patterned. Though the exterior looks tough, the flesh inside is soft, white, and custard-like.

Its flavor is exceptionally sweet and aromatic, often described as a blend of banana, pineapple, vanilla, and mango. The fruit contains large, glossy black seeds that are not edible and must be removed.

Cherimoya is typically eaten fresh by scooping out the flesh with a spoon, added to smoothies, or used in desserts. It is rich in vitamin C, fiber, antioxidants, and potassium. Its luxurious texture and tropical sweetness make it a prized fruit in many warm regions around the world.
